ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S ANDREW SHORT EARNS PODIUM FINISH AT WORCS ROUND 3
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Andrew Short earned his first-career podium finish in the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) on Sunday with a solid ride at Round 3 of the series in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Short got off to a great start aboard his FX 450 as he rounded the opening lap in third-place. He dropped back to fourth for about seven laps before battling his way back up to third. Short maintained his third-place position on the way to earning his first-career WORCS podium finish.
After three rounds, Short now sits fourth overall in the Pro Championship Standings.
Andrew Short: “That was probably the roughest track I’ve ever raced on. It’s a really cool atmosphere with all the people, the water and the motocross track stuff on top - I really enjoyed that. Overall, it was a really cool experience and it’s nice to get on the podium but I still have a lot to work on to get close to winning.”
Husqvarna Motorcylces-supported rider, Dalton Shirey captured a top-10 finish in the Pro class. Shirey started off just inside the top-15 and climbed his way up to ninth around the midway point. From there, he remained steady to secure tenth place in the Pro class.
